The Case of the Missing Bubble Gum Card
“Beautiful story and well written. It is a short story you can read in a half hour. It definitely is a clean read, no sex and no explicit language. It would especially appeal to YA readers, but adults will love it.
It is the story of a not very successful detective who takes on a case that will obviously, not make him any money. A young by asks him to find a valuable baseball card that was either lost or stolen from him. Afraid to tell his dad that he lost the valuable heirloom entrusted to him, he seeks the help of the neighborhood’s down and out private eye. By the end of the story, both of the characters learn a valuable lesson. I loved this story. I will absolutely read more by this author in the future.” – Zeecé Lugo
“I really enjoyed reading this short story by R. Weir. I love mystery books and this one was simple and wasn’t drawn out like most are. I really liked how the main character Jarvis, the PI, agrees to help a young boy find his missing baseball card. I had no clue until it was said who took the card and I was just as surprised as the characters were. I really thought this book had a great moral story behind it, and I can’t wait to read more from this author!” – Brandi Pearson
