Murder by a Hundred Cuts Release Date

As you can see from the pictures above, springtime weather in Colorado can swing in wild directions. The pictures were from 18 inches of wet, heavy snow we got a couple weeks ago. Then after it melted, flowers started to bloom from the warm weather, which neared 70 degrees. And then we had another snowstorm of 5 more inches. I’ve lived here for over 40 years, and this type of weather is normal in the Mile High City. And apparently, these flowers are accustomed to the wild swings, blooming even in the cold and snow.

The editing is done and Murder by a Hundred Cuts has a release date. Drumroll, please. The eBook and paperback will be released on May 1st. You can pre-order the eBook for the early bird price of $4.99 on Amazon via this link and the paperback on Amazon at $17.99, though the link won’t be live until release day. Or you can preorder a signed copy directly from me for $15 with free shipping (US Only) through my website via this link. I should have copies to sell a week or two in advance of the May 1st release date. Here is a quick synopsis of Murder by a Hundred Cuts.

After three years, the serial killer known as The Front Range Butcher, finally faces the charges against him. First degree murder under special circumstances for the five victims. Simon Lions confronted by his accusers in the trial of the century. One of those accusers being private eye, Jarvis Mann.
Before the trial begins, complications arise. A witness is found viciously murdered, followed by another grisly death. Gruesome pictures and a message left for Jarvis in advance of his testimony. Threats aimed at those closest to him. Leaving him to wonder if the savage cycle of horror will ever end.
Even though he tries to stay out of the fray, Jarvis is driven to face these threats and unearth those involved. Investigating a notorious new serial killer who is carving his own legacy. While Simon sits in the courtroom, gleefully watching his bold and daring defense emerge. Compelling Jarvis to challenge his own fortitude and moral convictions, to defeat a perpetual evil that doesn’t want to die!

You can check out two chapter previews of the new book on my website. The Prologue and Chapter One. As a warning, the Prologue has some graphic moments dealing with a serial killer. If those are triggers for you, then you should not read it.

Below is a sneak peek at the cover of the new book. You can find the full version of both the eBook and paperback on my website.

Murder by a Hundred Cuts has a direct tie-in to my award-winning book, The Front Range Butcher. My suggestion, you read it before reading the new release. You can find The Front Range Butcher on Amazon in eBook, paperback, or Kindle Unlimited. Or you can purchase a signed copy through my website for $15 with free shipping (US Only).

As I mentioned last month, I’m starting a new podcast where I’ll be interviewing other authors. The title: Bringing Life to Characters. I did a short video discussing the new podcast as a test of the new software I’ll be using. You can find the video on my website via this link. If you get a chance to watch it, send me an email and let me know your thoughts. The first interview podcast will run this Tuesday starting at 11AM Mountain time with award-winning and bestselling author Lynessa Layne. If all works well, it will stream live on my Personal Facebook page, my Author R Weir Facebook Group, and my R Weir YouTube channel. I’ve sent out invites, but you can join via the links I provided. You can also subscribe to my YouTube Channel to stay up-to-date with future shows and recordings.

Here is a short reading from the Meet The Author Podcast I did from Divine Retribution for you to enjoy!

Here are two events I’ll be attending in April. Stop by my table and say hello.

This month’s author feature is Helen Starbuck—no relation to the coffee bunch—who is a Colorado native and writes the Annie Collins Mystery series featuring an OR nurse amateur sleuth who gets cajoled into helping an old friend discover what’s causing her illness. Being a former OR nurse herself, helped Starbuck write the series. The first book in the series, The Mad Hatter’s Son, won the National Indie Excellence Award for best mystery and received a 10 out of 10 review from the BookLife Prize and went on to be a quarter-finalist in the contest. The third book, The Burden of Hate, received a starred Kirkus review and was a finalist in the National Indie Excellence Award. Readers love the characters and the settings and being able to recognize various places in Colorado. Starbuck also writes standalone romantic suspense. Her standalone books are mystery/suspense whodunnits and are all set in various locations in Colorado. Her newest standalone book is, The Killer Without A Face. Her books can be found on Amazon in paperback, ebook, and audiobook and all are in Kindle Unlimited. The ebook of The Mad Hatter’s Son is always $0.99. Readers can sign up for her newsletter on her website for updates, news, and promotions, and you can follow her on Facebook, Instagram, and Threads.

This month there is one Prolific Works free eBook giveaway. An Ominous Omen – Mystery and Thriller G.G. has 26 free Ebooks available until April 15th via this link.

Kim and I recently visited one of our favorite places, the Butterfly Pavillion. The butterflies loved my wife’s yellow Divine Devils shirt and my gold Green Bay Packers hat.

I will wrap up this month with a reminder about the coming release of Murder by A Hundred Cuts. Be sure to get your eBook pre-order placed for the low price of $4.99 on Amazon. Or order the paperback from Amazon for $17.99 once it goes live on May 1st. Or buy a signed copy directly from my website for $15 with free shipping (US Only).

Thanks again for reading and being a fan of my work. And be sure to share with other book readers, who can sign up for this newsletter on my website through the pop-up form and get a free eBook copy of my Jarvis Mann Amazon Best Seller, Tracking A Shadow.

All the best!!
