Busy Holiday Season

I had a busy month of November, with four different craft fairs I attended, three of the four being two-day events. Smoky Hill High School, Nativity of Our Lord Church, Mollie McGees, and Arvada High School were all successful events for me. I sold many books, talked with lots of people, and added many more users to my mailing list. To all of you, a hearty welcome and thank you for stopping by and joining my wonderful group of readers and fans.

One of the promotions I’ve been doing for each event is giving away a free $10 Amazon eGift Card. For every item purchased at my table and for anyone signing up for the newsletter, they got a ticket and a chance at winning. There were four winners and all were contacted and received the gift. I will continue this for the last two events I have planned in December which I will tell you about later in the newsletter. The four winners were Tom (Smoky Hill HS), Shawna (Nativity of Our Lord), Jaimi (Mollie McGee’s), and Hope (Arvada HS). Congratulations to all of them.

Though I never seem to remember, we did take pictures with several of the buyers at my table. I’ve included many of those pictures on my website under the Events tab. Here are some of them:

At a couple of these events, I ran out of books, as I was having issues getting timely delivery from Amazon. My big sellers have been The Divine Devils, Fallen Star: The Divine Devils Book 2, Tracking A Shadow, and The Front Range Butcher. Thankfully I’m fully stocked again. If you came to the event and missed out on a book, I’ll be happy to get them to you if you live here in the Denver metro area. If you live outside of Denver contact me and we’ll work out how to get them shipped to you. Books are a great and unexpected gift for those readers among your family and friends. And I’ll sign each book and even personalize them with a note if requested.

This Saturday (December 4th from 9-4) I’ll be at Adam County Fairgrounds in Brighton Colorado for their Holiday Bazaar. This is a big event with lots of shoppers looking for gifts. There is a $3 fee to attend and masks will be required.

Then the last event of the year will be on December 11th (8-4) and the 12th (8-2), at the Douglas County Fairgrounds. This will be my first time attending the Holiday Craft Show & Mini-Market and I hope to see a lot of new faces down in Castle Rock where I’ve never done an event before.

I continue to get great reviews for Fallen Star. The latest is an editorial review from Reader’s Favorite giving the book a resounding 5-Star Gold Medal review:

A man struggles to find answers to his past while unraveling an extortion scheme beneath the glamour of Reno in the thrilling novel, Fallen Star (The Divine Devils: Book 2) by R. Weir. When Hunter Divine first meets Hollywood royalty Meg Getz, he is instantly attracted to her sultry beauty. Having committed an indiscretion while in Reno, actress Meg is horrified to discover that somehow extortioners recorded the act and are now demanding money to keep them from selling her story to Hollywood tabloids and sending the video to her wealthy husband. The task seems easy enough; infiltrate the casino to find the man that seduced the actress and inform him his blackmailing days are over. Divine assembles his freshly mended team and flies to Reno. But, soon after he and his team arrive, they discover the glamorous Hollywood beauty may have been less than truthful about circumstances concerning the blackmail. When bodies start piling up, Hunter and his team become the target. Set up to take the fall, Hunter’s team is in danger. Can he and his team survive the seedy nightlife of Reno?

In the intense novel Fallen Star by R. Weir, the Divine Devils are back for another case. Reno is exciting and glitzy without the Divine Devils, but when they gather in one of the most entertaining towns on earth, you can expect nonstop danger, action, and romance. Colorful fight scenes, lots of intimate encounters, and engaging subplots woven throughout the main story make this book unputdownable. At times I got frustrated with Hunter’s attitude, but his loyalty to his team kept me from totally abandoning hope for him – for now. The characters and settings are vibrant and beautifully fleshed out, and the storylines are expertly drawn together, forming an astounding conclusion.

Fallen Star: The Divine Devils Book 2 is now available in eBook, Paperback, and on Kindle Unlimited. Add it to your book collection today!!

That is all for this month. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season with all your family and friends. I wish everyone all the happiness and good health, with hopes for a fabulous and prosperous New Year. Peace and love from the Weir family!
